Pilot studies-how many years?

how long did it take you finish your studies(fATPL,IR,MCC)?
personally,im seeking for the speediest way(im currently sitting ppl exams) and would appreciate your suggestions and opinions.
feel free to share your experiences

Trial flight February 2006, PPL skills test May 2008.

ATPL exams started July 2008, finished April 2009.

Hour building September-October 2008 ( Whilst studying part time ATPL exams)

MEP rating ME/IR finished May 2009

3 hours into CPL- present time

20 months from first flight of ppl to IR skills test. that includes about 3 months of sitting on the ground due to bad weather during all the training.
