Best route to take?
Hi,
I'm 16 years old and it's been my dream to fly commercially since I was about 5. I finished my GCSEs with mostly A* grades and a couple of A grades too, and now I'm finishing off my first year in sixth form studying maths, further maths, physics and geography and it looks like I will be getting straight A's (as long as I keep working hard...) My plan is to go to university to study maths next year, hopefully somewhere like Cambridge, Imperial or Warwick.
I'm currently finishing off my PPL -- just got the skills test to go. My instructor seems very positive about my aptitude, and has said several times that as far as aptitude is concerned, I will have no problem progressing further into an aviation career.
However, I'm not really sure what the best route to progress into an airline job would be. I've looked at OAA and the NetJets scheme seems very appealing, but they have intake of only 48 per year and from what I've been reading here, NetJets aren't doing too well at the moment (although I am planning four years or so into the future).
CTC's cadet scheme is also something I've been looking into, but I can't seem to find much information on how successful their graduates are with regard to finding employment.
Any pointers as to which route would be best, or how realistic my chances of being successful are would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Alex.

I think the lack of replies tells you to use the search tool.
Looking down the page i can see many existing threads

http://www.pprune.org/professional-p...pen-pilot.html
Trust me people on here don't half like to defend there precious site from repetitive threads as i have learnt in the past
