Can anyone recommend a training establishment to renew a 737 200/300/400 type rating. Do to lack of recent flying mine's about to expire so I need to renew it (I understand that they're valid for 5 years).
Obvioulsy cost is an issue but so is the quality of people running the courses.

Thanks

yes, I heard the same thing. 5 years after your last OPC or flight test, if not, you have to restart the whole training.

mine is from 2007, so I am good until 2012 and I m looking for a TRTO to renew it at a decent price. I think we can bargain with this crisis...

Depends on which continent you want to do it.
I have to do it also, in Europe, and I found a great TRTO with reasonable price.
And price is always an issue, of course!

It doesn't really matter which continent although Europe is most convenient.

As I understood, if you are not current on type more than 3 years, fist you have to take some refreshment course before taking a SIM check.
And you need to have valid medical also.
If you want I can send you in PM my friends e-mail, he can tell you much more precise.
