JAAto FAA convert.

hello guys,i hold JAAcpl/ir fronzen ATPL i would like to convert my licence to FAA .what is the requirement? how much it cost? any good place i can do it? thanx

Yes, you can.
Here are the steps:
  • Apply for a restricted US PPL based on your JAA PPL
  • Take the Instrument written test and pass an Instrument check ride
  • Take the CPL written test and pass the CPL SE Checkride
  • Pass the check ride for the CPL ME add on

Apply for the restricted here:

Airmen Certification: Verify the Authenticity of a Foreign License, Rating, or Medical Certification

Depending on how current and proficient you are; assume app. 15-20 hrs of training for the Instrument rating.
App. 10-15 hrs for the CPL SE
App. 15-20 hrs for the CPL ME
App. 30hrs of Ground school/briefing/debriefing time
Exact cost obviously depends on where and when and what airplanes.
