I found out about them via CATS and was probably the first to hour build there with them last year. I would give them a whole-hearted thumbs up. I booked 25 h and found it so easy and nice there that I did another 10 h in a three week stay.
Flights from UK were cheap £49 all in with ryanair

Fly In Spain
I finished my PPL with them last year and can recommend them whole heartedly.
I flew with an instructor called James who was great fun, but also a very switched on instructor.

spent over a month at Fly In Spain
good:
weather
flying twice a day
7 days a week
a/c are ok
Airport / nav / atc All Brilliant
Flying school:
It will all seem weird at first, like all Spanish flights needing flight plans.
Push and dont accept it if your not happy
Watch the pennies as especially the card transactions.
Ask Hans about his house, he lets out rooms good rates and clean house.
If you want something doing or sorted then you may need to nag to death or stand over them lol
Instructors - James, 11/10 hard task master, if you have all the time in the world then he's not for you. However if you want you PPL sorted then he's your man.
Was an older German guy I flew with, class, super chilled and great on CC navx's.
Garry another brill UK instructor is also the guy that runs the place he is a top man, German guy Hans ownes the place in my over a month out there saw him a handful of times.
3 x 152' and 2 pa28's
examiner is Brian May best examiner I met (only coz he passed me lol) I would not have been disappointed if he had failed me as i know he would have been right.
so tips
dont fly in the 2pm to 4pm you will melt
Watch for the Flight train Europe guys they have 23 pa28's and can all be flying, they pull some stuff two, twice had pa28's taking off with no clearance and they give them self clearance to land eeeeek
Circuits can be mad, left and right, being told to orbit on final ! lol
When you get out there you will move on to next stages so fast, if you can go out there and stay until you have it passed do it if you can.
EC-KLH was my baby
if u have any other questions ask away

K.

Has anybody used Fly-In-Spain to do an FAA-JAA conversion (the flying portion)? Or does anybody know anybody who has, or if they even do it? And if so, what would the cost be for IR/CPL (if you have already completed the 14 written exams)? Thanks guys

I was out there a couple of months ago to do my IMC, I had a great time and can thoroughly recommend them.
I got both IMC and Night qualification done in minimum hours and great instruction. If you want to read a diary of my IMC at fly-in-Spain it's on my website www.zerotoatpl.com
