FAA licensing

Hi, I'm looking for specialist of FAA licensing !
what do you get in the us with a JAA ATPL, A320 type rating ?
more question to come based on your answers (hope all the same)

The short answer is that you get nothing, however...


If you choose to do a theory exam and a flight test ('checkride' in US nomenclature) you can gain a US licence. You can choose what level of checkride you do ie PPL, CPL or ATP as long as you meet the minimum experience requirements and have passed the relevent theory exam.

If you do a type rating checkride you can combine it with a licence issue checkride at the same time. Essentially two checkrides done at the same time. Can be done in a simulator.
