FAA CPL + ME Requirements

Hi

My school tells me that the FAA recently changed the FARs for the multi-engine training, and that in order to get my commercial license with ME add-on I now need to fly 30 hours in a ME aircraft. Is this true?

I checked the FARs on the FAA website, specifically FAR 61.129 (b) and it says nothing of the sort. It's supposedly a new regulation that's only been around for 2 weeks so maybe they haven't updated the website yet, but maybe the school is trying to get their multi-engine planes to fly more often and make more money this way.

Am I missing something?
Thank you
