MCC Timing
Hi,
i am a trainee in an integrated ATPL program. I would like your opinion about the right timing for the MCC.
Should i have complete IFR training phase, MEP? My goal isn't only to receive the certificate but to gain the maximum from this initial course for my background.

I wont give you advice as I don't really know, but only my opinion.
I know the MCC isn't something that you need to renew so with that in mind it doesn't really matter when. I'm under the impression that the MCC trains you in multicrew situations... emergencys, following departure plates etc.. I would imagine you'd have to have your IR already done but as I said, I don't know.
I'm sure someone else will have a better answer for you..

You must hold an IR before you do an MCC. It comes at the end of your training as most airlines require it, although it is not part of the licencing process.
MCC training is something you could forget if there is a big gap between the course and a job, so perhaps consider that.
