CAA reference number
I am going to go do my initial JAA medical in London next month and I was looking over the forms for the exam, and I notice a CAA Reference Number. Will that number be assigned to me at the exam or is it something that I have to get before I go? If so, how do I get one? Searching of the internet has failed to produce any results.

If you read the guidance noes that comes with the appliation form it says if this is an initial application to write Initial where it asks for the CAA reference number.
Hope that helps

If you already have a licence it is the main number,
eg. if your licence is a PPL:-
PP/123456/C
then your reference number is 123456
You will keep that number for life, even if you get a higher licence.
If its an initial application then you won't have a number yet.
