ATPL's-sitting in different countries

Hi all,

I have 12 of the 14 ATPL's completed under the CAA in the UK
I am currently living in Ireland however, and was wondering if it possible to complete the remaining 2 in Dublin?
Thanks for replies!

ask the CAA, but I'm afraid the answer will be..."sorry, not possible."

Keep asking different people at the CAA until one of them says "Yes" - then keep that response for when you need it.

It's my understanding that you can only do your exams in one of the member states at a time . They might recognize your UK theory (after you pass it) and allow you to do the practical part in Ireland for issue of a Irish Licence , but ask the CAA directly and get anything in writing .

No. You have to sit them in the UK.

How would this rule vary if it was australia. Can one sit exams in australia if they do a course say at bristol or would they have to go through a jaa approved oz school to sit at an oz centre?
