Hi Birk
I was there for two months end of 2007. Did a 737NG type rating.
I thought the facilities were very good as well as the instructors. Even thou the instructors were teaching our company specific material they were very good. Anything they didnt know was resolved by the next session. Very good canteen ( if you can get used to the swedish food. ) The gym is quite good too with a sports hall for football/hockey ( cant remember the swedish word for it). And if your lucky you might see some of the cabin crew courses that are done there too !!!!
Hope this helps
Any questions just drop me a line

Thanks Whizzer, I'm thinking about joining them in the fall 2010. Is that gym also open to those doing modular training or just for the ab-initio folks? (I'm going for the CPL-IR-ME program). Also how is the town Vesterås?
But thanks for the info.
p.s. just noticed all those topics in the "Similar thread" box that did NOT show up in the search menu

I am going up there to check in a week so I can give you some of my ideas after that. Scandinavian Aviation Academy has a very good cooperation with Ryanair. Infact they are one of two Schools in the world wich is reccomended and neccesary in order to get a job with Ryan.
Infact the majority of the pilots in Scandinavia and in Europe for that fact, that works with Ryanair, comes from Scandinavian.
As you can see on the website, they have a a special MCC course wich gives you all the knowledge about the Ryanair procedures. You can only take this course at BFSAA.
The Ryanair type rating program is allso within the school.
All this information is on the website.
The only bad things I have heard about the school is that the instructors are a little unexperienced. At some schools the instructors are old and experienced but at Scandinavian many graduating students that are 21 years old, gets a job as a instructor with the scool..
