flying hours and log-book

hey everybody....i have a question about the cpl process.
i have my hours in my log-book and there are stamped.
"pilot log-bool checked and confirmed" signatured by the c.f.i
i just found out that the school, where i collect my hours for the cpl course is bankruppt and dont exist anymore.
the uk-caa want to have my orignal log book which is fine, but when they will start to check my hours they might have a problem to find them (2003 -2008), because the school dont exist anymore.
i tried to research where the aircrafts are but i could not find them, i also tried to call the c.f.i. but he dont exist anymore as c.f.i.. the only thing what i found out is, that he left the country.
will i have some problems with the UK-CAA.? do the issue my licens?what will be the consequenst if they dont find the signatured hours?
thx for advise
