Pat Link With Jet2???

Hi folks,
I was just looking at PAT's website and under the links section it said they have links with Jet2. What does this in reality actually mean? Does it mean Jet2 like the quality of training offered by PAT and therefore give some sort of special prefrence to PAT students when recruting (or is that what PAT want you to think? Is it just marketing to hoodwink in potential customers?).

P.S Does anyone have the 'PAT questionaire'? You know the questionaire they say will help you decide which FTO to choose. I have sent them an email about this (nearly 3 weeks ago) but I have not yet had any response.

Probably means that Jet2 contact them for staff when required but this happens at most FTOs, they look for recommendations.

I may be wrong, but I wouldn't let it change your mind without a bit of research into it.

Correct, when Jet2 are recruiting they ask PAT (and no doubt other FTOs) for recommendations.

If that is PAT at BOH I did my IR there in 1999 and they were spot on.

In this market I think a link will be that both PAT and Jet2/Channex have offices at BOH.

Connections or not, PAT have a really good reputation.

Outside of CTC, PAT are probably the best FTO at Bournemouth, they offer a high standard of instruction with Mike W and Drew imho the best instructors on the field. Exceptionally high pass rates and good service leave you with the feeling you have got value for money. The only negative thing I would say is watch out for the dog as he takes no prisoners when it comes to food. Don't know much about the airline links especially with the current state of the market, but it does not surprise me that both Flybe and Jet2 are linked with PAT.

PAT have a good reputation with both Jet2 and Flybe. Earlier this year, when both were recruiting, they did ask PAT for recommendations.

I work for Jet2 and phoned HR about a mate 4-6 weeks ago, and it's not good new i'm afraid. No recruitment for the foreseable future with contractors now all gone.

What goes down WILL go up, as it did after 9-11 etc so keep going even if that means at a slower but more substainable pace

As a stoodint of PAT I am not aware of nor have I been spoken to about any link with JET2 , the link with flybe is well documented and still in place.

Very interesting comment that one care to elaborate ??? CTC good are they ???? I assume you have trained at both ? and arent one of the famed CTC tailscrapers

Sorry I don't have any exposure to CTC other than they are a well run school with an excellent reputation for first time passes and career progression. this might be in part down to the little known fact that Anthony Mollison was instrumental in the set of CTC bournemouth. Good to hear Bruno is still ruining peoples lunches!!!

If my experiences are anything to go by you have chosen well and you will not be disappointed.

I think PAT's reputation speaks for itself - both at and beyond BOH, you only really ever hear positive things said about them.

My understanding is that they have had previous connections with Jet2, although right now given the current conditions, that may or may not be active. They have a good relationship with Flybe and recommend suitable candidates when required.
