FAA IR training UK / Europe
Hi,
Im currenly looking into the possibility of getting FAA IR training on my own aircraft (share, G reg) in the UK.
Has anyone else been down this path? can you recommend a uk / france based CFII?

to use ytour own aircraft you would need to have written consent from CAA and FAA. You would also need to have TSA approval before you can start FAA training and also either an FAA licence or a piggy back temporary airmens certificate which attaches to you UK license. If you need any assistance with any of the above, drop me a line and when you have all of this in place, I would certainly agree with going with Rob Spencer for the flight training.

Thanks for the responses, do you know if "written consent from CAA and FAA" is a paperwork exercise or does it invlove the aircraft being inspected with the relevant CAA charges applied?

Re: FAA IR training UK/Europe
I have just read your post and the replies thus far.
You cannot do any training for an FAA certificate or license in a G reg or any other non N reg aircraft for that matter.
It must be in an N reg aircraft that you own or partly own - and indeed with Department of Transport permission.
Please contact me for clarification.
Regards
