Kingair B200 Type Rating
I am looking to do Kingair B200 Type Rating in US.Our local aviation authority doesn't approve any training on simulator and are supposed to do 10 hours of flying on aircraft.Can someone please suggest me where I can get cheap 20 hours of Kingair B200 time for me and my friend?

Hey in India scene is completely different.You need Type Rating(endorsement) even to fly a Cessna 152.So what I want to tell is to fly a Kingair in India we need to do 10 hours of training time on aircraft,pass day,night,IR checks and before doing these even pass a Type Specific exam conducted by DGCA.So that after fulfilling all these requiriments we get an endorsement on our license to fly the aircraft.(This is applicable to all aircrafts below 5,700 kg).So though you are rated to fly a 172 as PIC you cant fly 152 in India.

How do you manage to maintain all those type ratings to fly various SEP aircraft as a general aviation pilot....or is such a thing (GA pilot) not heard of in India?

Hey tsrp thanks for your reply,I think you didn't understand what I am looking for .I am looking for a place where I can get Kingair B200 training on aircraft because our local aviation authority doest approve training on simulator for aircrafts less than 5700 Kg.I enquired CAE(Dallas),Simcom.Prestosim,RTC but these places have only sim no aircrafts.So please suggest me a place where I can do training on aircraft.

King Air B200 Type Rating
I work at FlyRight - an FAA 142 Training Center based on the East Coast of the US. I am aware of, and familiar with, the challenges for DGCA recognition of B200 endorsement.
Based on my reading of the DGCA requirements, it is POSSIBLE to get the endorsement solely in a simulator, but it would require approval of the training program by DGCA. The DGCA documentation indicates that it will look to approval based upon approval by the "member state's authorizing body" - meaning the FAA in the US.
Who has FAA-approved programs for initial/type B200 in the US? It's an EXTREMELY short list, as the FAA only approves initial or recurrent programs for companies who operate Level-6 or higher flight training devices. That rules out RTC.
For INITIAL/TYPE (as opposed to recurrent) training, the FAA will require a full-motion Level-C or D simulator, and there are only 3 companies that operate King Air 200 Level-C or D simulators in the US - FSI, CAE, and FlyRight. You can see the list here:

Note that SimCom also has a level-C simulator for the King Air 90 in Arizona (not Florida).
So, what to do...
FlyRight would very much like to offer DGCA pilots King Air training and endorsements. We are a new company, with a new facility and equipment, experienced instructors, and desire to train pilots (www.FlyRightInc.com)! I'd like to work with somone in India who is willing to get FlyRight's program approved with DGCA (blanket approval). We'd provide our FAA-approved documentation and other necessary information, and a willing person in India would take our program through DGCA approval. I've had no luck even getting DGCA to return my emails or telephone calls, so I expect that this will require hand-delivering and meeting directly with DGCA personnel.
In exchange for getting FlyRight's King Air initial training approved by DGCA we will offer our $9,000 initial training event for $3,000 - a price that just covers our costs.

regarding the b200,,,i was just wondering what are the rule;s with the dgca regarding the b200 training like ..Have they changed recently ..
,,as in do they want you to have time in actual,,,or is time in sim fine (Level C sim),,,,if anybody could shed some light on the clear cut ways of getting a b200 endorsement would be much appreciated ,,,,

chaitanya..so you are saying king air b200 reuires a type rating in india with 10 hours on aircraft and one specific technical exam of the aircraft by dgca?second question is..any idea how much does it cost to get 10hours on b200 aircraft?
