Airline Pilot training rip-off in Sydney?
In Sydney/Australia some schools seem to rip people off (particularly Indians) by offering airline pilot training but they don't have a clue about airlines. You only get a low quality CPL in 20 years old Cherokees or Cessna 152. Any better aircraft are not owned by the schools but hired in. Some even buy some airbus trainer and call that then airline pilot training. How accepted are those who train there? They can't even place students in unpaid work experience positions. Does anyone know any proper flying school?

Not that aircraft age has any correlation to quality of training, but it's cavaet emptor - buyer beware.
People need to investigate what they are investigating vast sums of money - if they get caught out, then you need to question their ability to make descisions as a pilot!
