ICAO CPL to FAA ATP and back!

G'day
Was wondering if anyone could throw some light on this.
I have an ICAO (Indian DGCA) CPL (2000 hours flying turbo props).
Instead of going through the hurdles of the DGCA ATPL, I was wondering if it were possible for me to get a FAA ATPL, from which I could then easily convert back to the DGCA ATPL.
I do not have a US passport, or any FAA Flight crew license.
Any help much appreciated.
cheers
