PPL in US L-2 visa

I am in US with L-2 visa and planning to start Private Pilot Licence here.
Do anyone know if a L-2 visa holder can go for PPL? If yes, can I go for CPL/IR as well?
If answer to my second question is also 'yes', as I have EAD (employment authorization), can I work as FI in L-2 visa after completing CPL/IR?

Please help if you have any suggestions.

A L-2 visa allows you to enter a course of study whilst in the United States.

The PPL falls under this.

You will, however, as you are not a US citizen require TSA clearance before commencing training.
