Cool Starting CAP programme at NAC 8Sep !

Hi Folks,
Well against aviation market meltdown and rising OIL prices myself and a friend are taking a brave step and have booked the Career Airline Programme at Naples Air Centre starting 8th Sep.
Just wondering if anyone else is heading over and if anyone has any advice etc.
The CAP covers the FAA PPL/IR, JAA CPL/IR, JAA/ME, frozen ATPL !, i want to start getting a 'heads up' on the course material before we head accross the pond.
Does anyone have any advice on which FAA PPL handbook would be best to start studying on/exam question handbook and JAA ATPL course material, i believe NAC use Jeppesen notes?
