PPL ground exams

Can anyone confirm - the exam numbers which are I believe 3 numbers / 2 numbers.

Does the 2 numbers mean the year the exam was first written ??

If this date of the exam is BEFORE the date of my confuser - that could explain why the questions have limited similarities !.

Thanks.

I thought it was the paper number i.e. 01/02/03. There are three different papers for each PPL subject and the second two digits tell you which paper it is (not which subject!).

This is why you have to be referred to the CAA for extra groundschool if you fail a PPL paper three times - you'd be sitting a paper you've sat before!!

Cheers
