If you make a mistake, don't waste time fretting about it - just put it right and move on to the next thing. A positive correction will make a good impression and will tell the examiner a lot about you.
We all make mistakes - but are likely to make more/bigger mistakes if 50% of our brain is concentrating on something that has happened and (as it's history) can't be undone.
