DA42 / Twinstar G1000 Training Software

I'm fairly certain that I'm going to be doning my ME-IR on a Twinstar. With that in mind, what is the best G1000 simulation software I can practise on before I start?

In particular, I believe that MS FS has a G1000 facility. ASA also do one and I assume Garmin do one too.

Any feedback would be great from all G1000 experts out there....

You can download the DA42 manuals here:

http://www.diamondair.com/owners_world/da42.php

G1000 CD ROM for your PC can be purchased at the Garmin website:

http://www.garmin.com

Where are you likely to do your training?

GARMIN Have a warning on their website in regards to the MSFS Depiction of the G1000, as it is not a true representation of the G1000 and should not be used to learn/practice the G1000 set up/Functions at all in any way etc.

Thanks guys, just ordered MS FS Deluxe. D'oh! It least it should give me an idea of what its all about.

I've downloaded the manuals, but a little tedious to read to say the least.

I'm thinking of either Wolverhampton (but are booked up), Stapleford, Atlantic in Coventry or Flight Acadamy Blackpool.

Ideally looking for a course with Simulator and DA42.

For what it's worth, Stapleford have a G1000 trainer so that you can familiarise yourself with the systems before using the DA-42 Sim or Aircraft.
