Class 1 Medical from NZ recognised in Europe

Class 1 Medical from NZ recognised in Europe
I started the training in Sweden thread a few weeks ago.
I have another question. Thought I should at least get the class 1 medical first before I consider CPL etc...
Can I get a class 1 med here in NZ before I leave for Sweden, and will it be recognised in Europe, or do I have to get one in Sweden.
Main reason is that I think it'll be cheaper to get here than in Sweden, even though my missus is a Dr, but she can't help.
