What is QTX?
Hi all. I got the following question from a question bank practicing for the RadioNav ATP test. What am I missing?
The letters QTX and adjacent symbol indicate a:
a) VOR/DME
b) TACAN
c) Airport
d) VOR
The answer is supposed to be VOR/DME. The what?

Isn't there a diagram to go with this question? If I recall correctly, the question is referring to a diagram of the ND display of a 737-400. QTX is the identifier of a nav aid. You need to look at the diagram and conclude (by looking at the symbol displayed) exactly what kind of navigation aid it is.

VOR/DME. The what?
This VOR/DME is called BKY (morse code identification) on frequency 116.25, otherwise known as Barkway.

Yes, thank you, I know what a VOR/DME is. Maybe I expressed myself incorrectly.
The first reply makes sense. I guess there's a missing figure in my test software...
