Which aircraft TYPE?

I have 2152flying hrs, of which majority are on piston twins.
I would like to know from experienced pilots, which aircraft would be best to get a turbine type rating on, which is widely used around the world?

Hi

Well the B737 and A320 ratings would make the most sense, as they would give you the most international coverage. HOWEVER with your type of experience why not try to apply to an airline and have them pay for it???

Not sure what the conversion requirements / costs would be if you did a JAA type rating and then wanted to fly in ICAO or FAA land...
