Thanks for the encouragement grababadger and bri1980. Don't really want to give the name of the company that I work for, I was based at Heathrow, but just transferred to Gatwick a few weeks ago. Nicer airport in my opinion. Not as dirty or smelly!!!!!

What about yourself, where are you based?

Pilot in the making..

I work as a contractor, i.e. many places.. i'm off work at the moment doing my ppl, as soon as I have my B1 (more logbook entries needed) im off to do an intensive atpl course.

Engineering is not what I expected, hence the career change..

Are you a mech or tech?

I'm an unlicensed tech (mechanical) at the moment. Just got to sit one essay exam and get a few more log book entries, then I will have an A licence. Got to retake the maths exam and do another 2 years work experience, then I will be able to apply for my B1 licence. The plan is that I should get my B1 and my ATPL at about the same time, so it gives me something to fall back on if the whole pilot thing goes ar$e end up!!!!!

I'm looking for the second career completely away from the numbers. Flying would be top of it, but having said that I fly for fun and as a break from the norm.

Retraining ....noway, I did all my exams and stuff ages ago and I cant stand the thought of more.....

I lurve the practical training....so after finishing my PPL I'm doing the IMC (after all I fly inthe UK so its pretty much a necessity if you wanna fly for more than 3 days a year). Once all that is outta the way ....I wanna do some aeros!

Oh, and the paying of the bills.......I'm just ya everyday pornstar

As well as retail purchasing I also do some moonlighting as a doorman and festival security professional.

Anyone going to the Leeds festival this weekend? If so, behave yourselves... or I'll 'av ya!!

Trainee accountant. Most boring job EVER. This was the plan B. Get a qualification and save enough cash for 0-fATPL. With sitting the ACA exams and the copious amounts of overtime they through at us there's no chance of getting even a PPL until i'm out of my contract which will be when i'm 25.

Hopefully as an accountant i'll be able to service any debt i have whilst waiting for that first RHS. I certainly couldn't manage it on the meagre wages they pay us trainees! Although to be fair they do pay us a wage while training, small though it may be, and pay for our professional exams - akin to paying for your type rating so to speak. If only all airlines would do that!
