How old are you ???
This may be a rude question but I am intersted in finding out the average age of ppruners here currently training/studies/hour building. Whats your current status ?
Also did you have a non-aviation career before you started ? When did you take the first step ?

Currently 27, doing PPL. First Solo at 13 hours(!) presently have a non-aviation career and took first step about 11 months (but in aviation started PPL back in April).
I actually applied to BA Sposorship back in 98 (suppose that was first step) and got an interview but not the place. It all started again in a big way in February when I spent two hours flying an Airbus A330 simulator at Alteon near Manchester-started PPL a few weeks later and not looked back.

I am 32, employed airline pilot and part time instructor. I worked in the Aerospace Engineering industry before I was a professional pilot. Knew I wanted to be a pilot from about the age of 5, so been striving for it since then

Aged 22, aircraft engineer with a PPL and doing the ATPLs distance learning. Always been into aviation, before my current job, I did a BTEC national diploma in aeronautical engineering at college, and worked part time whilst I was in college as a dingy sailing instructor, shop assistant at a boat yard and a sound engineer would you believe! I've had a very busy life!!!
