Hello Tarun

There are many different opinions about where is the best place to train.

Some prefer integrated courses where you do it all at once and some prefer the modular approach where you do it at your own pace. This is normally a better choice for people who are on a tight budget.

You say that you want to do your CPL but I am not sure whether or not you have gained a PPL yet.

One thing that I would recommend before you set out on a course is that you become familiar with basic maths and physics. I know that Transair Pilot Shop have some good CDROMs to help with this.

The other thing that I would advise is that you pay more attention to your spelling. Please do not take this as an attack!
I am not the greatest speller in the world but try to remember that first impressions count a lot in this business, so if you are entering into any correspondence with schools or airlines, please be sure and get someone to have a look over it for you beforehand.

Best of luck with your training and I hope you get there.

thank you

Thank you Farrell for the response, and to be honest when I posted this thread I did not expect to receive a reply, I have posted before in student pilot and pilot journey but did not get any response back, so when my friend told me about this website I thought might as well give it a go. Well I have just finished my a-levels in maths, law and sociology and I also have an AS in physics. Well I haven’t got a PPL, but the course that I will be undertaking in new Zealand does zero to CPL. Anyway thank you again for your response, but just wondering if you had some info about new Zealand flying schools for me, the flying school I am looking at is International Aviation Academy of New Zealand. Hope you are happy with this reply

The quality of schools in NZ appears to be very high. I have met some pilots in the past who have trained there and they all seem very happy with the region.

Ask any of the guys on the CTC sposnsorship scheme for their opinions on the area. I'm sure that they would be more than happy to respond.

Nice spelling this time!
