Gary ,the Welshman is right in what he says 100%. I've worked ,and still am, in the building trade since i left school and it pays very well and a lot in cash (taxman thinks i earn very little ) . I would actually be earning less in my first flying job but thats a different matter. I see your from Widnes and Liverpool city centre is crying out for builders & labourers at the minute and there all in very high buildings so you can see the Sleezyjets landing at john Lennon and dream of the day. Some wise words have been spoken on here mate. It'll be hard but worth it int end. Goodluck BP

Uni is not at all worth it now-a-days, they say on average it costs 30,000 uk pds to go to UNI, for that you could practically get all your licences. Doing a PPL intensive course gets your prepered for the 15 odd month course you may want to do later on. Well thats what i believe and planning to do, next year i hope to start ATPL!!!
