Smile Disadvantage?

By completing training at Hub'Air one will get a JAA IR of course. But would I be at a disadvatage when applying to UK airlines by not having a CAA IR. I have been told despite the theory that all the JAA qualifications are equal, in practical terms some are seen to be 'better'?

'All IRs are equal but some are more equal than others' to paraphrase Animal Farm!

visit to Hub'Air

Hello chaps,

Just to let you know, I've planned a visit to Hub'Air for 17-18 december. I'll see their facilities in Brussels and Antwerpen (flight training base) and meet the staff. So if you have any questions you'd like to be answered about this FTO, drop a message.

About A320TR in Hubair

Hi all,

I want to do my A320TR in Hubair.

I am looking for someone who had done A320TR in Hubair, because I need some information about:

- The company where I would do the Base training and how long I would wait to do it.

- And since I will start the course: How much money Will I spend in taxes or anything else that I don't know?.

- I am from Spain but I don't know if I have the minimum English level to do the course.

- Is it possible don't pass the Type Rating?

I hope someone someone can tell me about it. Thank you.

Regards,
Toni

Hubair... Please watch out. Some friends of my did their MCC. It was a letdown and they concluded they would have had a far better training by paying an extra 1000 and doing the MCC on a A320 or B737NG. They regretted their training very much. I am not trying to out this company down, it's just my friends experience which put me of.
