ATPL conversion - skills test location
Hi guys
Can someone tell me, what are the locations that I can pick from to do a conversion from New Zealand CPL ME/IR to JAA ATPL
ie.
1. the 15 hours for IR, and IR skills test,
2. and the CPL handling test.
Second question, does the location that I choose to do my ATPL groundschool in (via distance learning) eg. US, Ireland, UK, Australia ... have a bearing on where I can or must do the above flying?
Appreciate any help with this ...
Cheers

You should be able to do your conversion at most flt training centres, in the UK try contacting Oxford Aviation, they'll be able to give you a great deal of advice.
As for the ground school, again there are a few about:
London Met Uni, Oxford Aviation, Bournemouth, Cranfield (CATS) or Bristol.
If you want the best training, go for Bristol, there is a great deal of positive feedback on them from everyone - even other training centres recommend them (bizarre I know!). Don't recommend London Met, I just finished the ATPL course (distance learning), they tend to just want your money rather keen to provide you with the best level of training. Quite a number of people I know that used London Met have said similar, that being "they don't particularly care!"
Good luck!
