I'm going to graduate from oxford and i'd like to know which airlines are related to the "CTC ATP scheme" and which with "GECAT"...i know that in both cases you need to paid for your TR but how will i get a job?! do they give me a contract before the type or they just put me in a pool waiting for someone?!

I would have thought that oxford aviation would be able to provide you with all this info and more.

Not that it matters, because the scheme is closed and nobody is sure if it's going to re-open, however you do not pay for your type rating with CTC ATP. You pay £6500ish for an Advanced Handling Course which is also Part 4 of the selection process, fail the course and your money is gone. If you pass the course you go into the holding pool and once you get placed with an airline the type rating and line training are paid for by CTC. Once you start your type rating you get £1000 per month for 6 months and you also get £2000 when you pass your line check which means you get £8500 + Type Rating + Line Training for a £6500 investment, however you do not get any other pay until your 6 months line experience is complete and you transfer onto the airlines contract.
