Zero to Flight Instructor!

Hi,

If i was to become a flight instructor instead of an airline pilot ...
  • What would be the process of doing it?
  • How long are you restricted for?
  • What are the wages roughly?
Regards

1) After CPL, get an instructor rating - course is around 30 hours after a pre-course test and hour building to 200(?) for fixed wing; I know it's 250 for rotary!
2) The restriction is removed after you have sent off (I think) 25 student solos which are actually "supervised" by an unrestricted FI.
3) Square root of diddly-squat!

Cheers
