Intructor Rating...

Well, I've gone and done it. Finished my CPL-A a couple of months ago with NVFR and ME (for what little theyre worth at the moment), and have decided to go the instructor route. (played with the idea of doing MECIR as well, have decided to give that a miss for a year or so though until established in instructing).

Yes I know about the poor pay / woes of instructors, but i'm prepared to wear that cost.

My only concern is whether to train at a place that is more geared towards club flyers / joyflights etc than professional training (knowing that this place would likely offer work on completion), or to train at a more professional / businesslike school which is unlikely to offer employment on completion and thereafter try to seek work as a grade III.

Depending on who you talk to (NOT schools, obviously), it seems that there is a strengthening demand for instructors - even Grade III's. Any thoughts on this anyone? (am referring particularly to Australia here).

Cheers,

RR.

FIC in Denham/old Sarum/West London

Hi there,

Just after the latest testimonials from people who've done FI Courses recently. Curious about Denham and Old Sarum or indeed any in the rough locale of London and the Thames Valley area.

Tks.

I flew at The Pilot Centre (Denham) for a number of years and people only had good things to say about the FIC provided by Eva.

I did my FIC with South Eastern Aviation and had great fun doing it with Clive out of Headcorn (which I do realise is not exactly "West London").

For me the main thing was being able to do it at the weekends - which Clive was quite happy to do.
