UK CAA fATPL for MPA rating

My apologies if this topic has been aired before but I would be grateful of some confirmation or otherwise before embarking on the course.

UK CAA ATPL exams completed in Aug 1998 - Perf E and not Perf A
UK CAA CPL issued in May 1999
IR-SPA-MEP - issued January 2001. Current IR expires in Jan 2007
JAR ATPL Perf passed in August 2005
MCC completed 2006

My understanding from LASORS (Part A, page 13, para 4b) is that I can go ahead and complete a MPA type rating course but appears that it has to go on a JAR-FCL CPL(A). Is this correct?

Is the UK CPL a JAR-FCL CPL (A)?

Many thanks
