The Flight Centre at Wolverhampton also has a Twinstar for the IR. Give them a call, it's a very friendly, supportive school. Have a look at this thread from a little earlier in the year. http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthr...=Wolverhampton
They also have a website: http://www.hgfc.co.uk/ (Mods, if you aren't happy about the link being posted please delete it.)
I'm NOT employed by them, I'm just doing my PPL there and can honestly say I have had nothing but support and encouragement.

Affirm, Atlantic Flight Training have been doing just that for a while now. They have two (soon three) DA-42 Twinstars and two Twinstar FNTP IIs. Can't remember the quote for the DA-42 ME/IR but it's around 10,000 - more info on http://www.flyaft.com I reckon.

Cheers

P.S.: before you ask, I didn't do my ME/IR on the Twinstar - I had to contend with the "steam driven" Cessna 310 (at 6 quid a minute ) back then.
