Students Money
With the news that two more FTOs are probably going into liquidation, is it not time for more stringent action about the loss of students' money "paid up front"?
The majority of flying training organizations are honest and are run by people with integrity. The CAA is required, by JAA, to verify the financial standing of FTOs prior to issueing or renewing approvals. However, it appears that "verification" is restricted. Some form of guarantee is needed when students and others pay in advance. SECOAT & SFT all over again.

Which FTOs are you claiming are 'probably' going into liquidation?
There are no guarantees when you buy a training course in any field from any company. If you do as we always recommend and pay as you go, rather than paying up front, use an escrow account or pay via a credit card to obtain the protection of the card issuers liability, you are protecting yourself as much as you can.
