Re: Pelican Flight Trng Cntr. in Florida?

I did my time there many years ago now ie 93. Managed to get all my licences and worked as an instructor, ended up with 700 hrs plus. They let me work on the fuel truck to help earn some money back as well. Had a great time with the other brits there.

Pelican Flight Training informations?

Hello,my name's Alessandro and I'm currently a 20 years old italian microlight pilot. I also am another wannabe thinking about train in the USA in a school which can issue j1 visas. The one I named seems to be professional (I know it's owned by a brit) and I would like some suggestion from somebody who knows them directly. Thinking attending professional program "A" (CPL/IR+CFI+CFII) mainly 'cause I've got a limited budget in my pocket (at the moment I'm working to save as much money as I can, and when it will be the moment (summer 2007, I hope) I will ask for a loan). Is it easy after I get CFIs certificates to get a job in any part 141 flight school? Will I have to relocate through the country or is it possible to get hired directly in Florida? As a full time instructor is it possible to cover living expences (shared appartment+food)? During the 24 months how many hours is it possible to build up?
I will also appreciate any suggestion non covered from my questions.

Cheers

Alessandro

Pelican Airways Florida

Has anybody done any training at http://www.pelican-airways.com/ in Florida?

What are the instructors, building, airplanes like etc.

There doesnt seem to be any reviews on this flight school anywhere on the net, even though they say theyve been around for 20 odd years.
