Appeal of questions - "rules of procedures"?

What are the UK CAA procedures when questions are appealed on exams? Are you allowed to look at the question paper after the time is up and when is the latest time you can write and hand in the appeal? Can you get an answer whether the appeal is accepted or not and if it isn't, is a justification of the decision provided?
