FAA ATP to JAA ATP

Hi,
i'm sure its been covered before, but i cant find anything, i was just wondering if anyone has recently done the above and if so can i ask a few questions.

I am about to start although i do have a FAA CPL, but have been told its better to upgrade and convert ATP - ATP
