Exam Exemptions?

If an airline is becoming UK registered does the CAA UK automatically validate the Pilots FAA licenses depending on their experience? i.e a senior Training Captain has to just write air law, etc.

Any people who have received exemptions or credits please advise of your experience.

Sadly No.

If you are an experienced Pilot with more than 3000 hours on Aircraft above 30 000 kg with 1 500 hour command (Captain) then you can apply for exemptions.

Those guys I helped get through it has been the exams Air Law and Human Performance Limitations. Followed by Type rating flight test.

That give you an ATPL issued - UK Registered aircraft only.

Hope that helps

Thanks very much. Would seem that some guys are getting exemptions in light of the fact they have 1000's of heavy jet hours.

Seems like a short circuit of the system to me.
