Simulator Instructors

There seems to be quite a big difference in salary between a groundschool instructor and a full lfight simulator instructor.

Why is this? what are the main differences in terms of role and qualifications?

Sim instructors will usually be pilots, with a prefessional licence and a fair bit of relevant experience. This limits the number available.

Ground instructors may come from a wide range of backgrounds, often ex-RAF navigators or Flight Engineers, teachers, engineers etc (or maybe low hours pilots) and as such there are a greater number available.

Itīs market forces - supply and demand.
