Questions about EFT

Hello my name is Annette Andrén. I am a 20 year old girl from sweden dreaming about a job as an airline pilot.

I'm very intressted in EFT but I have some questions.

This is a quote from the flyeft.com

"GUARANTEED INSTRUCTOR POSITION TO GAIN A TOTAL 1500 HOURS INCLUDING 600 MULTI ENGINE."

They claim that a job as an instructor is guaranteed. Is that true?

Do you have to buy your own books and uniform?

Is there anything els I have to know before starting ?

btw, do I get the european licens as well as the american?

Hi, I am a current student on the APP at EFT, to try and answer your questions -

From my understanding you are not guaranteed the instructor job, you have to meet a certain standard and fit in with the rest of the EFT team, this standard isn't set unreasonably high and you should reach it fairly easily as the instructors are very good.

Uniform you supply yourself (though it isn't expensive to buy in the states and they do supply the stripes), books you can either buy yourself or borrow from the school (they hold a deposit for each item, refunded upon the items return).

You actually gain the JAA (European) licences first even though you are in the US, towards the end of the APP before you start instructing you undergo the FAA conversions.

If you have any more questions just ask or pm me!

Talking Not being unkind...

I would hazard a guess that, as a twenty year old swedish girl you would definately fit in with the rest of the EFT team.

Hi Annette!

My name is Aswin Del Monte, 21 and I live in Italy.
We share the same dream!

I agree with jstflyin: 'Choosing the right flightschool requires a lot of research. And basically you have to understand that it's a "big business"'.

I'm looking for my good Flight training and I think, considering the opportunity to improve my level of English, going to the UK.
There are a lot of good flight schools in the UK.
I'd like to join Atlantic Flight Training in Coventry! It has a lot of positive feedbacks and they are very kind and friendly.

I suggest you to go on in your research and here in PPRuNe you'll find many people that can help you!

Cheers!

A.
