FTD credit hours

Can anyone tell me how many hours of a typical type rating course can be completed in a Flight Training Device rather than a full flight simulator?

None.

A Level 1 FTD is suitable only for systems management credits (i.e. groundschool) , a Level 2 FTD is suitable for systems management, CRM and LOFT. Neither gains any credit for the flight training element of a type rating course. (Appendix 1 to JAR-STD2A.030)

Thanks BB

Yes I am aware of the JAA rules and the exact reference you quote. But my question is how many hours of a full flight simulator course can be utilised by an FTD.
In other words what is the value of buying an FTD rather than a FFS if constructing a type rating course.
