ATPL Exams

Greetings fellow PPRuNers.

I have a question for anyone who may have any experience of dealing with the CAA.

Is it possible to get an extension to the validity of the ATPL exam credits? Has anyone had any success in getting this and if so what is the procedure?

Many thanks in advance.

NSA.

I can't answer your questions, but have you not considered phoning the CAA and asking them directly? Would seem the obvious thing to me to do!

You can e-mail the CAA. They give a speedy response, plus if they later question anything you have proof of what they said.

There is virtually no chance of getting an extension. Acceptable reasons for granting an extension are death (your own or that of a spouse or child), accident injuries that meant you couldnt fly or a military posting abroad.

If you have a CPL issued then you will be credited with VFR Comms. and nowt else.

The only bright spot is that you wont need to go though the study again (at the discretion of the CGI).

It's all a bit bollox really.
