Hey Winggeek

My understanding is that thr AWR can go out to + or - 150nm in Manual, WX & CONTOUR modes. But i am almost certain that it can penetrate out to 300nm on modern AWR and because its PRF is 400-550 pulses a sec it should have a Max range of 200--300nm.

AWR is definately 200-300nm, I sat RNAV in May and those exact same questions came up...In the feed back the answer for the AWR was max 300nm so out of 200-300 or 300 to 400 it had to be 200-300 as 300 is the max. As for the others by the titles of the computers I worked it out. They always seem to throw half a dozen new ones in each time...

Have you done Performance yet????

Hey Turkish777, I sat the r-nav with you in may, and the question we had was about an ATC surveillance radar. The question in feedback that we had was also about a surveillance radar and not a weather radar. Redout mentions that the wx radar has a PPS of between 400-550, then doing the calculation, that would give a range of between 147Nm - 202 Nm.

Oi quiet Robohan/96er you're thinking of something else....try re booting yourself or wait to your circuit breaker cools down for 60 seconds and try resetting haha...I did see that one about the Weather Radar maybe it was in Instrumentation...and the feed back I was refering to was our lovely assesments where the answer was slightly different...did you know i'm back over in Essex at the moment????

Popped over to Manchester the other day to drop my rubbish of there.....

Don't listen to 96er, he got that name because it took him 96 attempts to pass his 14 ATPL's...

And it was a pet name from his exgirlfriend..96 seconderrr

Thank you 1-800, back to the swamp on Tuesday, enyoyed my visit here actually....and yeah I think 96er has just taken one too many ATPL's...

Winggeek, no probs mate, ive got to resit GNAV, I ran out of time and had about 13 questions left which had too guess all of them, was gutted as didnt find the exam too bad just time consuming...got 69%.....I didnt have time to read the questions just marked all down the score board, I should have stuck with one letter...then guess its 25% chance...in theory
