ATPL course
I´m a commercial pilot from Portugal only my licence is from a ICAO contry( Brzil)
I came back to Portugal in February and i´m trying to convert my licence to JAA.
I was told that i must do a ATPL theorectical course and my hours will count the same.
Only here in portugal they are not making courses at the moment.
I need to know any school that does that courses and if there´s the chance of making exams all the months because i´m getting old and i want to speed up.
Obviously the price is important to.
Cheers to all

Try Bristol Ground School
I am studying for my exams with them, and like many, I highly recommend them.
They are reasonably priced; they are not the cheapest, but cheapest isn't best.

Hi,
You can take classes in almost every state in EU. Prices range from 2,000 to about 5,000 euros. The thing is you have to sign up for classes in oreder to take the exams. I don't know why since there are many pilots from abroad who have the required knowledge. I quess the policy of EU is to collect as much money as possible, unfortunately. But that's the law and you have to follow it. I did my CPL/IR in the USA and had to do the same thing here in Slovenia. Here you have to options. You can take 700 hrs. course with Adria Airways (national airline) which costs about 4,000 euros and takes about 6 months or you can choose Solinair (they fly for DHL) and their 350 hrs. course which costs about 2,500 euros and they have classes only on weekends while Adria Airways has classes from Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. for about 6 months with breaks in between.
I don't know much about other schools in Europe.

Can I suggest you might get a more sensible reply in the appropriate forum? The moderators might like to move the thread there, or Constelation might wish to repost.
For now the information I have. The UK sets exams once a month. The CAA website has a list of approved schools. The groundschools are at the top of page 6 of part 1, contact details in part 2. "Res" means residential, "DL" distance learning.
