IR in FNTPII

Hi guys, i only recently found out that the local flight school to me has an FNTPII simulator. I learned that you can acquire you IR solely through an FNTPII simulator without having to fly in the air. Am i correct?Although this will work out cheaper, what do you guys think about training for your IR solely in a simulator?Any pros or cons?obviously its more attractive to do your IR training in the air.

No this is totally untrue. Read LASORs and you'll find that the minimum is 15 hrs in a ME plane, with 40 in a FNTPII, its all in LASORs.

You can renew/revalidate your IR in the sim once you have it, but for the issue of the initial IR Blinkz is bang on. You must gain it in the air, with a CAA staff examiner.
