Cargo Pilot

I was wondering if it more difficult to get a position a cargo pilot with a company such as fedex or dhl. Is the demand more or less than mainstream pilots + any other info would be helpful.
I searched the archives already and there wasnt much information.
Thanks

A cargo position with one of the major companies such as fedex or DHL can be a pretty competitive affair.

At the end of the day most people will apply to everybody and take the first job that comes along and tend not to be too choosy if it is their first airline job.

It suits some people down to the ground, but most are looking to head off to pax work when they can. Mind you the thought of flying a cargo 757 around sounds like a lot of fun!

Boxes don't get scared or complain!!
