US Visa interview in Belfast

hey, on calling the US non-imigrant visa interview reservation service for my M-1 visa to go away to Florida in summer, I was offered an interview with the US Consulate in Belfast. I woul much prefer Belfast, as it costs peanuts to get there from Newcastle and would be far mroe convenient. I asked if its ok, that im born in England, and have no connection to NI and I was told this is fine. Now, I know peaple make mistakes, and I trust no-one, especially when 'non-refundable' fees are being paid.

Ive booked my interview, but before i hand over the money, Id just like to know if any of you lot have done the interview in Belfast if you were goin to the USA.

THanks :-)

I do believe it is no problem,Northern Ireland is part of United Kingdom so its like going to a consulate in Manchester rather than London.
